Hello! I am Caroline, the founder of Caring Therapist, LLC in New Jersey. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor and Grief Recovery Specialist in the state of New Jersey.
My mission as a therapist is to help individuals live healthier, more fulfilling lives!

Caroline Beretta

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bloomfield College, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I am a licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey (#37PC00675100). My certifications include: Grief Recovery Specialist, Souldrama Certified Trainer and Approved Clinical Supervisor. I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC). Memberships: American Counseling Association (ACA) and American Psychological Association (APA). In addition, I receive continual mental health training at various workshops around the country. I am constantly working towards improving myself as a therapist so that my clients receive the best care I can provide. I am fluent in Spanish and welcome clients who need or prefer Spanish speaking sessions.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy hanging out with my family, friends, and dogs! I love music and will have a dance party whenever, or wherever. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies as well, and I love trying all types of new recipes.

The Moreno stage, developed by Jacob Moreno, is a key element of psychodrama, a therapeutic approach that uses role-playing and other techniques to explore and resolve emotional conflicts and issues. It's a multi-tiered, circular stage designed to facilitate the exploration of emotions and interpersonal dynamics in a safe and supportive environment.

My greatest incentive as a therapist is to help my clients explore different ways to make positive changes in their lives by providing them with a better outlook into the future. I know that everyone needs someone to talk to who will listen to them without any judgment. In my sessions, I want each client to feel accepted and heard in a safe environment; a place where they can find themselves and do some searching to move past any issues that are preventing them from living a healthier lifestyle. In most of my counseling sessions, my style consists of action methods to identify the barriers that prevent individuals to move on to their higher purpose. For over 15 years, I have facilitated groups dealing with depression, addictions, grief, self-esteem, anger management, relationship issues, anxiety, and many more topics.
